Joy Division (Slayer and Slain)



This week has produced certain events which perhaps warrant attention, being the culmination of incidents in the preceding months--events largely foreshadowed by this year's Oscar winners.



Christopher Dorner (Osiris is a black god) sought to overthrow the External Law, of which he was a part while he wrought the works of the flesh, but only slew himself. This is a contrived scenario as part of an unfolding Egyptian Mystery-Play. The Argo was called the ship of Osiris. Dorner is Osiris locked in the Argo of Big Bear, there to be sacrificed in the flames. Snow on the Road as the Bear has her hounds of Hades at the ready for Actaeon. Seth MacFarlane is Set chopping him to pieces.

In his Exegesis Philip K. Dick makes the important point that he had somehow activated a sacred narrative that unfolded itself in a way akin to a pre-written computer program. 
The sacred history itself forms a narrative that can be discerned, but it is obscured by the normal flux. Everything is written down and has been written down from the beginning, as the Jews knew from the disclosure of the Torah. Basically, sacred history exists as information; first in terms of temporal sequence; first in order of ontology. The mythic ritual is an entry key into the sacred narrative. It functions the way an entry key of a computer functions vis-à-vis a given program.

This narrative can be entered from any point in mundane time by the correct entry key which in itself tells a story or a part of a story—part of the master narrative (which, as I say, is information out of which reality is generated). What interests me is the apparent fact that there are a number of sacred narratives, not one, so that different entry keys—which is to say different mythic rites—punch you into different narratives, which is to say different meta-realities. For example, Christianity is only one "narrative" of many; the war between the Empire and its prisoner (who in early chapters is crucified but later on is released unharmed)—this is not the sacred narrative but a sacred narrative.(PKD, Exegesis)


This narrative is the TORA held by the High Priestess of the Tarot. ROTA TARO ORAT TORA ATOR:  "The Wheel of Tarot speaks the Law of Hathor." Anne Hathaway is Hathor Way, the bride of Shakespeare (the Monomyth Monolith), who hands over (paradidomi) Batman to Bane when the storm comes in and the dark night rises. Will you enter the sordid Mystery, or merely watch as a series of kaleidoscopic but ultimately illusory images (that is, meaningless, precisely because they are loaded with meaning) flit across the surface of the screen? Is this a New Order Ceremony, devised to catch the conscience of the King? It is the Dark-Haired Girl with the pink light who activates PKD's narrative; but as we learned from Les Misérables, the High Priestess is really a dead prostitute.


The Judas mystery: "The Knight of Wands represents the fiery part of Fire; he rules from the 21St degree of Scorpio to the 20th degree of Sagittarius." . . . "Scorpio has not just two symbols but three: the Scorpion, the Eagle and the Phoenix. The Phoenix represents death and rebirth." The sign of Scorpio ends on November 22.


A fire at the John F. Kennedy presidential library in Boston more than an hour after the blasts, initially treated by investigators as related, appeared be caused by a simple electrical short, police said. . . . The race drew 27,000 runners and has been run since 1897 on Patriots Day, the third Monday in April, which commemorates Lexington and Concord, the two battles in Massachusetts that started the American Revolution. Meanwhile, Girl on Fire Jennifer toils under the Law-rence, having emptied herself out to become a servant of all: April 15 (the date of the assassination of Abraham Lincoln) saw the release of the Hunger Games: Catching Fire trailer, to be released November 22 (the date of the assassination of John F. Kennedy). As PKD's torturous VALIS narrative unfolds inevitably, some learn to play the Game, while the less fortunate become mulch for the Empire.  

As the Wizard makes his "Marathon Hoax" post, this trailer is released, as if to say yes, none of this is fair, the Empire and its hierarchy is persistent in telling you that you have sinned, and your hard-fought efforts for liberation today get recycled and fed back to you as tomorrow's commercial pabulum (praying to the light machine). So, how am I to argue, when the Magic Mirror on the Wall condemns itself with its own tools, as it always does? The idol betrays our senses; it declares Snow White to be the fairest of all things in the exo world. Lilith is overthrown by her own instruments; instead of appeasing her vanity, it exalts she who wields the arrows. The Moon is a mirror of the future. If it were not so, all of this would be in vain.
Here is an antithesis created: the suffering of the sheep is absolutely awful and to be abhorred, and the painting produced is absolutely beautiful. But this is not presented as a choice but as a fact: this is how you get such a painting. Still, I deplore it in the dream, so I feel it is not justified: this torture is not justified even by the picture produced. So my emotional sympathy—agape—outweighs my aesthetic response, however profound the latter. . . . There is no end justification for such dreadful means. . . . Most awful of all, the Godhead stands as self-damned by its own verdict of guilt for the suffering it has imposed on the ontogons. (Dick)
But--we're still here, aren't we? And who are "we"? Is there a way out? A spark to ignite something more permanent than these fleeting images?


Anne Frank the Dead Girl as personification of the Community of Israel in Exile is a Belieber hooked on the External King (the Hierophant) and not a Knower of herself. Her diary (the Law as the Princess Diaries) is a record of fascism. To see the Black Fire of the endless madness and division of the Father is simple enough, as detailed on a thousand different conspiracy videos; to see the White Fire at the edges of consciousness is more difficult. (Those who wish to be entertained will be entertained, nothing more--meanwhile, James-James Holmes keeps shooting the audience.) The priest dispenses bite-sized chunks to babes and sucklings, yet the Church as the Faithful is really Sophia (the sheep).

To grasp the fruit of self-Gnosis is the only truly revolutionary act.

I worry that there is no way to address this without it seeming insensitive to the victims, but the Kabbalistic import of the Boston Marathon event should at least be acknowledged:

The beastly boy makes the dark-haired girl's blast into two blasts (water-water). Every element in the story appears to have been strangely detailed in MoG before it happened, and thus can be used as a key to decode it. Even the name--"dZhOkHAR Shine On."

In Winter's Bone Jennifer Lawrence (Isis) is searching for her Father's (Osiris') body in the Oz-arks. He gets killed (by Set) after turning snitch (repentance leads to death). In the end she finds him in the Dark Water and has to chop him into pieces in order to appease the authorities and keep the House. That is, Osiris was already dead in the water when Isis cut him up--she just needed to prove it and make it official.


The Battle of Marathon was fought against Persians/Iranians, the subject of Affleck's Argo. A character named "Darius" (leader of Persia) appears in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. He is turned into a mute and is dismembered. An encounter with the Other, kept Under Pressure.

In Greek mythology, Nemesis (Greek, Νέμεσις), also called Rhamnousia/Rhamnusia ("the goddess of Rhamnous") at her sanctuary at Rhamnous, north of Marathon, was the spirit of divine retribution against those who succumb to hubris (arrogance before the gods). Another name was Adrasteia, meaning "the inescapable." The Greeks personified vengeful fate as a remorseless goddess: the goddess of revenge. As ship exploded in Texas in 1947 on the same day. April 15 also date of the Titanic sinking. The Blade Runner is Oscar Pi Story. Life of Pi features a survivor of a ship named the Tsimtsum adrift on the waters. The lifeboat is specifically described as an "ark." Pi must board it when he is exiled from his Father's Garden. Tsimtsum refers to the Kabbalistic process that created division in the universe, graphically illustrated by the bomber blowing everything into pieces. Pi, like Luria, cannot answer why the contraction and Fall occurred (i.e., why the ship sank), only that it did. The lotus, he is told by the Grail Initiatrix, is found deep within the dark forest.

The mob demands the Hierophant enact his own ritual sacrifice on the stage (Round Dance of the Cross--"I would be wounded, and I would wound"), because they do not wish to enact the imitatio Christi themselves. Give us Barabbas; the Disco King's body is left to rot in a hollow tree (Cyprus/Cypress). The mixed multitude and their popular culture priesthood (teenage wildlife and the bloody robes) are in collusion; it is too late to rend the European canon. The baying crowd can't get enough of the doomsday song, always waiting for an historical apocalypse that will never come. The Empire ("the devil") says, worship Buddha. Buddha says, don't worship me. Buddha dies, and only the Empire persists. "The world was filled with wonder and followed the Beast."

This foreshadowing is evident only in retrospect.

Harrison Ford the Blade Runner appears in the Boston Marathon Family Guy. Runners met Peter (Griffin) the Roman on the road creating endless division of phenomena between the waters. As in The Shining, the Father (Peter) becomes Set[h] after a certain manner. This episode features a girl being decapitated by a Ninja. Peter Griffin as Man Who Fell to Earth lands on top of Meg Griffin (played by Mila Kunis of Oz). Seth's Killing Joke is that everyone hates Meg and submits her to eternal torment, even though she's the Sexiest Woman Alive ("who's the fairest of them all?").

Everything is metamorphosed into its opposite to perpetuate itself in its expurgated form. All the powers, all the institutions speak of themselves through denial, in order to attempt, by simulating death, to escape their real death throes. Power can stage its own murder to rediscover a glimmer of existence and legitimacy. Such was the case with some American presidents: the Kennedys were murdered because they still had a political dimension. The others, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, only had the right to phantom attempts, to simulated murders. But this aura of an artificial menace was still necessary to conceal that they were no longer anything but the mannequins of power. Formerly, the king (also the god) had to die, therein lay his power. Today, he is miserably forced to feign death, in order to preserve the blessing of power. But it is lost. "Father, yes son, I want to kill you . . ."


Abraham Lincoln cites the magic numbers "four score and seven" in a house divided against itself. He is charged with uniting Upper and Lower Egypt and freeing the slaves, but Abraham's final sacrifice will not be his son, but himself. Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays Lincoln's son in Spielberg's film and is Judas the hitman with the pieces of silver in Looper (the last hit is on himself). His bowels spilled out in the field of blood. This post explains the symbolism of it all beautifully.


Jeff Daniels (Gettysburg) plays "Abe" in Looper--the title evinces the nature of the eternal time loop as primarily being that of the killing of the king by himself. This is the formula of the Dying God of the Aeon of Osiris. Willis-Osiris as Saturn slays children. The blonde mother of the Aeon is the Aleph as Nancy. Note the historical resemblance between Lincoln's son and John Wilkes Booth.



The fool-king, who is accorded great status for a day and then ritually sacrificed, appears in many different cultures, from Europe to the Aztec civilisation. This theme is particularly well-treated in the pagan classic, The Wicker Man. In this film, the policeman ‘victim’ is given very high status - as only a very high status sacrifice will appease the gods. (Phil Hine)

It is necessary, in order to understand the Tarot, to go back in history to the Matriarchal (and exogamic) Age, to the time when succession was not through the first-born son of the King, but through his daughter. The king was therefore not king by inheritance, but by right of conquest. In the most stable dynasties, the new king was always a stranger, a foreigner; what is more, he had to kill the old king and marry that king’s daughter. This system ensured the virility and capacity of every king. The stranger had to win his bride in open competition. In the oldest fairy-tales, this motive is continually repeated. The ambitious stranger is often a troubadour; nearly always he is disguised, often in a repulsive form. Beauty and the Beast is a typical tale. There is often a corresponding camouflage about the king’s daughter, as in the case of Cinderella and the Enchanted Princess.

The tale of Aladdin gives the whole of this fable in a very elaborate form, packed with technical tales of magic. ("The Fool," The Book of Thoth)
When he was assassinated, Abraham Lincoln saw Our American Cousin in (Harrison) Ford's Theatre (the Fool marries the King's Daughter):
The play is a farce whose plot is based on the introduction of an awkward, boorish, but honest American, Asa Trenchard, to his aristocratic English relatives when he goes to England to claim the family estate. . . .

Asa proposes to Mary and is happily accepted. He then sneaks into Coyle's office with Murcott and retrieves the paper that shows that the debt was paid. Asa confronts Coyle and insists that Coyle must pay off Sir Edward's other debts, with his doubtless ill-gotten gains, and also apologize to Florence for trying to force her into marriage. Moreover, he demands Coyle's resignation as the steward of Trenchard Manor, making Murcott steward instead. Murcott is so pleased that he vows to stop drinking. Coyle has no choice but to do all this. Florence marries Harry, Dundreary marries Georgina, and Augusta marries an old beau. Even the servants marry.
These are the final scenes in Spielberg's Lincoln:
On April 14, 1865, Tad went to Grover's Theater to see Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp while his parents attended Our American Cousin at Ford's Theater. The same night, his father was assassinated and when the news spread to Grover's Theater the manager made an announcement to the entire audience. ("Tad Lincoln")
